Our Founder, D. Yvonne Rivers aka Phoebe

D. Yvonne Rivers has been the Principal of The Phoebe Marketing Group since 1997, a business development, marketing and training company serving globally and headquartered in Washington, DC. Yvonne is a graduate of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and studied graduate marketing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

 Yvonne has over thirty years of business experience and is the creator and producer of ‘American Dream Business Pitch’ established as ‘DC Shark Tank’, now Phoebe Pitch Tank which is a Global Business Pitch Competition established in 2015 that has developed tremendous accolades and exposure for Yvonne in ‘Black Enterprise Magazine.

Yvonne also serves as a "Pitch Coach'  across the globe in Africa, Europe , Asia and The United States in developing and Business Coach in  entrepreneurship programs.

 Yvonne’s work as facilitator and presenter for Small Business Administration (SBA brought her to Washington, DC in 2010 .

 Yvonne is a Master Trainer with her custom curriculum in teaching entrepreneurship for National Urban League, Operation Hope, contractor for DC Small Business courses and many more.

 Yvonne aka ‘Phoebe’ has been an entrepreneur since 1988 in business development including business plans, marketing plans and sponsorship marketing.

Yvonne has expanded with building entrprnuerial ecosystems across the globe as a registered business in kenya and Rwanda with Phoebe Team members.
